2015 SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION PASSED
The 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2015 has been passed in Parliament today.
The Budget went through the committee of supply with no amendments and finally through to the third reading.
Speaker of Parliament Ajilon Nasiu puts the question to the ‘House’ who then pass the budget.
“Honourable Members I will put the question. The Question is that the 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2015 be now red a third time and do pass. Will all those in favour please say I, all those against please say No, I think the I’s have it, so the motion is passed.”
Delivering the budget speech this week, Finance Minister Snyder Rini says, the bill draws out key spending components – contingency warrants and advance warrants and also additional funding to meet urgent and unavoidable pressures which the government is facing.
Minister Rini says, it is yet to regularize almost $37 million provided through Contingency Warrant, $200 million through Advance Warrant, and additional expenditure which is more than $138 million through new appropriations.
