2016 PAGEANT EXPECTED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The 2016 Miss Solomon Islands Pageant is expected to be a successful one yet, says Pageant Director Joyce Konofilia.
Ms Konofilia told SIBC News in a recent interview, they are more organised this year compared to 2015.
She says the girls are currently working hard with their chaperons preparing for the event.
The Miss Solomon Islands Pageant will kick off this Thursday with a float parade from the Coral Sea Resort and Casino to Lawson Tama and then back to SMI at Town Ground.
On Friday, a speech competition is organised for the girls at the National Museum auditorium.
The event will culminate Saturday night with the crowning of Miss Solomon Islands 2016-2017 at the Coral Sea Resort and Casino.
