2024 MSIP contestants participates in Float Parade

Contestants for the 2024 Miss Solomon Islands Pageant (MSIP) participated in a Float Parade in Honiara today, ahead of the crowning night tomorrow.

The six contestants, including the reigning Miss Solomon Islands joined the float which started at the Pacific Crown Hotel and ended at the National Auditorium where members of the public had the privilege to meet the contestants.

The contestants proudly presented their floats with themes depicting their sponsors and their topics of advocacy.

The contestants will be contesting in six categories in this years’ pageant.

Earlier today, they contested in the first category of the MSIP, which was the Pre-Pageant Speech Category.

Speeches presented were based on the topics that they’ve picked during their first press conference last month.

Tomorrows’ crowning night will see the contestants contesting for the other five categories which are the Introduction, Sarong, Talent, Contemporary/ Traditional Attire and the On- Stage question and answer category.

Speaking to SIBC News, MSIP 2024 Event Manager, Lynette Adomea said they are preparing well for tomorrows event.

” For every big event we will expect some unforeseen circumstances; but as a team we are well prepared for those things and all preparations are on track. We have one final rehearsal with the girls and performers tonight.”

” We encourage the public, especially those who have paid for tickets’ to arrive before 7pm as gates will open at 4:30pm. We look forward to tomorrow event, we look forward to crowning our new Miss Solomon Islands, and we look forward to celebrating our beautiful six contestants.”

The six contestants vying for the 2024 MSIP crown are Ezinma Kausua (Miss Guadalcanal), Kerrie Faradatolo (Miss Tourism), Sharllyma Aruhane (Miss Coral Seas Resort & Casino) , Elsie Polosovai (Miss Lauru), Azarinna Zolela Stevens (Miss SICAN), and Jayn Zayniellar Soakai ( Miss Tulagi).
