CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS PREPARE TO IMPLEMENT GOV’T POLICIES

Civil Society Organisations in the country have expressed through their umbrella body organisation – Development Services Exchange (DSE), their preparedness to collaborate in the implementation of the Democratic Coalition for Change Government policy intentions.

A delegation from the NGO umbrella body met with Prime Minister Hon Manasseh Sogavare last Friday.

In a written submission read out to the Prime Minister, Development Services Exchange (DSE) General Secretary Ms Jolo says that CSOs are appreciative of the new approach taken by the DCC Government in acknowledging the crucial roles CSOs play in promoting sustainable development, democratic processes, good governance and enhancing community interdependence nationally.

Ms Jolo adds DSE will always endeavour to promote inclusiveness and partnerships between the government and CSOs and within CSOs.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sogavare expressed appreciation for the CSO’s overwhelming support for his Government’s development policy agendas and their readiness to assist the government improve the country’s rural population livelihood.
