The Acting Director of Police Prosecution has called on the Government to secure a proper office building for his staff after almost ten years of rent.

Mr Rodney Whitney made the call after the landlord to his office building locked the staff out yesterday morning because rental dues were delayed.

The prosecutors were denied access to their uniforms and case files, and had to adjourn their cases at the Magistrate Court.

Mr Whitney says it is frustrating and beyond their control when issues like this happen because they are renting buildings owned by other people.

He says the Police Prosecution hold the majority of cases in the country, and they should be housed in a proper building owned by the Government somewhere close to the Magistrate Court or the Rove Police Headquarters.
