Leader of Opposition Jeremiah Manele has recommended that all constituencies should produce annual reports to be tabled in Parliament.

Mr Manele said this is to outline the progress achieved and challenges faced in implementing their constituency development plans under the Rural Development Economic Program, through the Ministry of Rural Development.

The Ministry of Rural Development, has been allocated, the largest share in the 2015 budget under the Rural Economic Development Programme.

Mr Manele says the Opposition recognises the need for our rural people to participate more actively and meaningfully in the development of our country.

He says there has to be a coherent, strategy and alignment to consolidate concerted efforts by Provincial Governments, development partners, Faith-based and Community-based organisations.

Meanwhile, the Opposition Leader proposed that the Government establish a policy framework to commit stakeholders to collaborate under a bipartisan agreement, entailing all aspects of the partnership.
