VURA HIGH SCHOOL OPENED NEW LIBRARY
Vura Community High School in Honiara officially opened its newly built library building last Thursday.
The building was funded by the Australian and New Zealand Governments as part of a broader education project to support the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development for education improvement in the country.
Speaking at the opening, Minister Counsellor Sue Connell said education helps improve people’s life chances to be active working members of the community.
Counsellor Connell said, the support for the Solomon Islands Education system, will contribute to improve the education of Solomon Islanders for many years to come.
Vura Community High School Library is the first recipient of 20 similar library projects.
