CDOs ATTENDED MRD TRAINING
The Ministry of Rural Development has conducted a half-day consultation with the 50 Constituency Development Officers (CDOs) in Honiara today.
Speaking to SIBC News, Acting Director of the Ministry, Matilda Watesao says the purpose of the consultation is to present the Ministry’s 2016 annual work plan.
She says this will enable the CDOs to have a better understanding of the national development strategy, saying this is geared towards achieving the policies of the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government.
“The purpose of this meeting is for us to communicate to the officers who are responsible for their constituency offices that development funds have a plan, like what activities they suppose to do, so that we are geared towards implementing the DCC Government policy on Rural Economic Development Centres.”
