HEARING AGAINST POLICE COMMISSIONER TO BE HELD
A hearing will be conducted before the High Court against the Commissioner of Police Friday next week.
Local lawyer Wilson Rano is challenging the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) in relation to a raid on his office and his subsequent charging and two others for forgery and fabricating
evidence.
They were acquitted in March last year of the charges after the prosecution conceded there was no evidence to prove they are guilty of the charges.
Justice John Keniapisia will hear the case.
Meanwhile, the election petition against the Temotu-Vatud MP Freda Tuki will appear for mention Thursday next week.
Former MP Clay Forau is challenging the election of Mrs Soriacomua.
