ANZ Rural Banking customers in North Guadalcanal have questioned the unavailability of ANZ banking services in their area.

Customer James Lovania, says the ANZ authority must explain why it is called ‘Rural Banking Service’ if it does not exist in the rural areas.

A frustrated Lovania adds, if ANZ now decides to withdraw its banking service to the rural areas, it might as well assist rural customers withdraw their savings and close their accounts.

Our North Guadalcanal correspondent, Duddley Gani reports.

“James Lovania called on the ANZ Banking group to explain to its many customers in North Guadalcanal what happened to the ANZ Rural Banking Service. If it does not continue now then it should be restarted again for those wanting to close their bank accounts with the service so that they can draw their money”, said Mr. Gani.

SIBC News understands ANZ Rural Banking Service has been introduced in North Guadalcanal since 2008.
