The Solomon Islands National under seventeen futsal team have lost their opening game today against Asian champions Iran by nine goals to two at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
It was a tough match, with Iran leading Solomon Islands by four goals to nil at half time.
Solomon Islands managed to pull back two goals through wonder kid, Raphael Leai.
In the earlier matches, Panama drew 1-1 with Iraq, and Russia thrashed Costa Rica by 6-1.
Solomon Islands will go up against European heavyweights Russia tomorrow, and will take on futsal giants Brazil on Wednesday.
