AUSTRALIA’S GG SENT CONDOLENCES TO FLOOD VICTIMS
Australia’s Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove has sent condolences to the victims of the recent flash floods in the country.
A government statement today says Sir Peter’s message to his Solomon Islands counterpart, Sir Frank Kabui on April 4th says, he was shocked and saddened to learn of the consequences of the extreme weather conditions affecting Solomon Islands.
Sir Peter asked his counterpart to accept his condolences on the loss of precious lives and his heartfelt sympathy for those whose homes have been destroyed.
The Australian Governor-General adds, on behalf of all Australians, he wishes Solomon Islands strength as the country deals with the emergency and all its human dimensions.
