The West Kwara’ae Sports Association in Malaita Province is preparing for its first ever 2014 football tournament.
The event will kick-off this month.
Secretary Timothy Maearo told SIBC Sports, a seven aside tournament will be hosted next week at Dala to prepare and select teams to be part of the tournament.
Mr Maearo said the tournament is to develop sports especially in West Kwara’ae.
“Groups in the Constituency have decided to come together and try to upgrade sports in the Constituency. This is the first time all sporting clubs in the region decided to come together and organise such events.”
Mr Maearo adds, the tournament will also be a Christmas tournament for West Kwara’ae until next year.
