Westpac Solomon Islands has announced it has a new General Manager.

He is Elliott Griffin.

Griffin replaces Kutila Pinto who served in the role for four years.

Meanwhile, a statement from the bank today says Mr Pinto is repatriating to Westpac’s Head Office in Australia in November and will be the new Head of Financial Inclusion for Westpac Pacific.

During his term in the Solomon Islands, Mr Pinto introduced the bank’s new In-Store Banking network, which was rolled out to eight provinces nationwide.

He also oversaw the introduction of Westpac’s new Mobile Banking service in the Solomon Islands, which gained over 10-thousand active users since its launch in February this year.

Also under his leadership, Westpac won the 2014 SICCI Excellence in Service Delivery and runner up for Most Innovative Business.
