MAN CALLED ON D.C.C TO ADDRESS ISSUES BEFORE CORRUPTION
A Temotu Pele man has called on the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government to address several issues before it can tackle corruption in the country.
In an interview with SIBC News, George Boape says the government really needs to improve public services like policing, education and improve health facilities in the rural areas.
It also must discontinue the development and services fund which is currently under the discretion of MP’s.
“In terms of development and services funds to the provinces. I’d like to see the 10th Parliament get rid of the administration of these funds from MPs with their CDOs because I think they are only duplicating their functions. Already we have provincial governments to administer such development funds at the provincial level.”
