ABOVE NORMAL RAINFALL PREDICTED FOR SOLOMONS
The Solomon Islands Meteorological Service has advised, most parts of the country will likely experience above normal rainfall in the coming months.
Acting Director of Met Service Lloyd Tahani told SIBC’s “Distaem Nao” program today low depressions are likely for next month to April next year.
“For the period which starts November to April next year, it will be our wet season as well as tropical cyclone season so right throughout we will expect low-pressure systems developing, provided that ocean conditions are conducive to produce such systems.”
He advises that people listen to the National Broadcaster for daily weather and marine forecast updates and other extreme weather events.
