ANNUAL PUBLIC SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD THIS THURSDAY
The Ministry of Public Service will organise the annual Public Service Excellence in Human Resources Management Awards this Thursday.
The event aims to foster an atmosphere of continuous learning, development and improvement among Human Resource practitioners in the public service.
Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Public Service Nego Sisiolo said the awards will also encourage and motivate them to a culture of excellence and high performance.
“This is basically to recognise the performance of public officers and to motivate them and to signal out that the work they are doing does not go unnoticed, but actually noticed and so we would like to recognise the good work that HR Managers performed.”
Awards for this year include Human resource manager of the year, workforce Management of the year and role model of the year award.
Others are change champion of the year award and an award for the most improved public servant.
The program is an initiative from the Ministry of Public Service supported by the Australian Government through it’s Solomon Islands Governance component.
