Australia clinches Archery glory at World Archery Oceania-Pacific Games 2023

In a stunning display of precision and skill, Australian Archers Tyack Ryan and Paeglis Laura secured the first gold medals in Archery at the World Archery Oceania-Solomon Islands Pacific Games 2023, at DC Park, east Honiara..
Australia dominated the Recurve (70 meters) for both men and women, claiming the Gold and Silver positions.
Among the sixty participants from ten competing countries, including Australia, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Tahiti, the competition showcased outstanding talent.

The Solomon Islands is well-represented with 12 participants, showcasing the country’s talent and enthusiasm for Archery. With 6 male and 6 female participants, they aim to leave their mark on this prestigious event.
Today will mark the second day, featuring the Archery 2024 Olympic Mixed Team CGT qualification.
Following this, the spotlight will be on the Para qualification for Compound and Recurve categories. The day will culminate in a Medal Presentation, adding another layer of excitement to the archery competition. –ENDS//
