CIP PREPARES FOR STATEHOOD

The Central Province provincial government will effect the annual appropriation of its funds in preparation for statehood.
Central Islands Premier Selwyn Mapuli made the statement at the closing of the second Draft Federal Constitution awareness program in Tulagi yesterday.
Premier Mapuli said his Government will put into effect annual appropriation of funds from fiscal year 2016-2017 to cater for the design of Central province’s State constitution-making.
He calls on the people of Central Province and the Government to seriously address the prerequisites as required from each province.
He then thanked the Constitutional Reform Unit’s technical team for a successful consultation on the second Draft Federal Constitution.
