Minister for Education Dick Ha’amori has told first graduates of the Solomon Islands National University to be advocates for education in the country. The University yesterday graduated its first batch of students – a total of one-thousand and 4-hundred and 86 graduates.
In his keynote address, Minister Ha’amori told the new graduates they now have the most powerful tools available to do this bidding.The Education Minister also urged the graduands to use their education to make a difference to the lives of Solomon Islanders.
He said the hallmark of an educated person is top think about their way through his or her, instead of begging his or her way through their problems.
