Election results out tommorow

Small and nearby constituency election results maybe ready late tomorrow.
The Solomon Islands Electoral Office’s Philothea Paul this afternoon said, at the close of voting at 5pm this evening and depending on the weather and safety of the ballot boxes, police will ‘as soon as possible’ escort the ballot boxes from polling stations to counting centres.
Ms. Philothea said, the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force-led logistic support will assist in transporting remote ballot boxes to their counting stations.
She said, if all goes according to plan, all election results will be declared by this Saturday.
She explained, the results will be announced through the media from the ‘Mendana Result Management Booth’ by the Chief Electoral Officer.
