FIVE DAYS CLIMATE CHANGE WORKSHOP UNDERWAY IN KIRAKIRA
A five days Climate Change workshop is currently underway in Kirakira, Makira Ulawa Province.
Speaking to SIBC News, Chair of the Province’s Climate Change Coordination Committee, Alick Pinihimae says the workshop wants to develop ways to address climate change, vulnerability and risk assessment adaptation option in Makira Ulawa.
He says during the workshop, Committee members will identify issues on how they will address climate change issue in the province.
“The workshop is about developing a methodology to undertake climate change vulnerability and risk assessment adaptation option in Makira Ulawa province.”
The workshop is funded by the European Union through the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Meteorology and Disaster Management.
