GOV’T RESPECTS SDA’S POSITION IN NATIONAL IDENTITY: PM LILO

Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo says the government respects the place Seventh Day Adventist, SDA, Church has in our national identity.

Prime Minister Lilo was speaking as the guest of honour during SDA’s centenary celebration at Viru, Western Province this week.

He says the government acknowledges its partnership with SDA Church in Solomon Islands over the past 100 years.

Mr Lilo explains, SDA has contributed in national development especially in the area of health services, education, training, shipping, governance and leadership.

He says sectors the SDA church engage in has assisted in moulding the people and communities of Solomon Islands.
