HCC’s VECTOR BORNE DISEASE SPRAYING GOING WELL
The Honiara City Council (HCC) Vector Borne Disease Control Team indoor spraying program is progressing well in selected areas within the Honiara City.
Three six member teams are currently deployed to selected areas by the Honiara City Council (HCC) Vector Borne Disease Control Program to undertake indoor spraying to reduce malaria incidence.
Speaking to SIBC News, a Team Leader Timothy Tarahou said the program is progressing well with evidence of reduced mosquito borne
diseases over the past months.
Mr Tarahou says activities undertaken include indoor spraying and awareness talks on reducing mosquito breeding grounds.
