HCC CALLED ON TO BUILD PUBLIC CONVENIENCE FACILITIES

A concerned citizen, Mr Charles Katu is calling on the Honiara City Council (HCC) to build proper public toilet facilities in Honiara City.

Speaking to SIBC News Mr Katu said this is a serious concern as the current unavailability of such facilities can create high health risk to Honiara citizens.

“The concern came about because if you go around town or elsewhere in the City, people are using the buses in town as toilet places and this is not so safe, especially talking about health.”

SIBC News understands, under the Honiara City Act 1999, HCC is responsible to provide a wide range of proper infrastructure and social services to its citizens.
