HCC COUNCILOR DIED

The Honiara City Council (HCC) has lost one of its Council members this week.

He was Hon. Jack Maeli Igi, the Council Member for Vuhokesa ward.

A statement from the Council said the late Igi’s loss left the Mayor, Councilors, Clerk, Management and staff of the Council with profound sadness.

The late Igi was an outspoken person and has contributed a lot to the Council during his two terms.

His body was transported back to his home village at Kwaloai, Lau Mbaelelea in Malaita Province for burial.
