HEALTHY CHILDREN, PRODUCTIVE FUTURE FOR SOLOMON ISLANDS: Dr. DIVI
Healthy children will produce a productive future for Solomon Islands.
The Director of Reproductive and Child Health Dr Divinald Ogaoga made the statement during the launch of the new Pneumococcal vaccine, to protect pneumonia and meningitis in children.
Dr Ogaoga said the Ministry expects a high population of children will be vaccinated.
“So it’s not only the investment for them when they are children but it’s actually an investment for their future as well and if they become healthy in the future, they’ll have a productive contribution to our country.”
SIBC News understands, the Ministry of Health wants to inject up to 16,000 children with the Pneumococcal vaccine
