TIME TO THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT THE LAST 36 YEARS: PM SOGAVARE
The Prime Minister says it is time Solomon Islanders think seriously about where the country has travelled for the past 36 years.
Manasseh Sogavare made this statement during a stop over at Gizo, Western Province where he had received a grand welcome from the Provincial Government and people in the provincial capital.
He said his government’s policy is very ambitious and the time has come to think seriously about where the country was for the past 36 years.
“That is very ambitious but the time has come for us to seriously think about where we have travelled the last 36 going 37 years. This country has moved very little in terms of the development, we are still listed as least developing country in the world and the second highest aid dependent country in the world.”
The Prime Minister is on his way to Choiseul Province for the province’s second appointed day tomorrow.
