MID GRADUATED 29 CIVIL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISORS
The Ministry of Infrastructure Development graduated 29 participants to its Certificate four’ on Civil Construction Supervision and Material Testing program today.
The graduates cameĀ from various private sector construction companies including staffs from the Ministry.
Minister for Infrastructure Development Jimmy Lusibaea challenged the graduates to apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge for the benefit of all people in the country.
“To those who have graduated today my congratulations to all of you for your hard work. You are the leaders of our industry and as a Solomon Islander you must serve the people by applying your skills and knowledge to the best benefit for the people.”
Meanwhile, Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands Andrew Byrne says, strengthening the skills of Solomon Islanders will help boost economic growth in the country.
“Strengthening the skills of Solomon Islanders is one of the most important ways of increasing the country’s economic growth and this is particularly important in the transport sector. Transport connectivity is crucial to Solomon Islands growth, development, and stability. It provides people access to services and markets.”
The one-year program was jointly funded by the Solomon Islands and Australian Government and facilitated by the Performance Training Limited.
