More than 100 thousand ballot papers counted so far
By Simon Tavake
As of April 18th, one day following the election day until 1pm PM this afternoon, the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission (SIEC) has officially recorded a total of 171,716 ballot papers that have been counted. Of these, 415 have been rejected.
It’s important to note that these figures are derived from the official reports received and recorded by the SIEC, rather than from provisional results obtained from the counting centers.
Additionally, it should be acknowledged that these numbers are subject to change as more results are forthcoming for official announcement by the Chief Electoral Commissioner.
