Former Member of Parliament for East Kwaio Alfred Sasako describes the Government’s national healing and apology program as “poorly organized”.

Mr Sasako said, the program is very important for the nation but lacks consideration from the national Government by organizing it too early.

Mr Sasako said, the whole matter has been poorly organized leaving the pillars of society uninformed about the program.

He said, there are more to be desired.

The former MP made the following suggestions for the Government to consider.

“Therefore, I appeal to the authorities and that is our national government to seriously consider one; postponing the whole program, two; to ensure that the premiers who represent quite a chunk of our provincial population to be fully consulted, and three; our chiefs also need to be fully engaged in this whole thing.”
