The Solomon Islands Meteorological Service says there is no current Tsunami threat for Solomon Islands.

The office made the clarification after receiving numerous rumours, a Tsunami will hit parts of the country by midday today.

Director of Met Office David Hiriasia says as the National Focal Point for Tsunami Warnings, he assures the public, there is no warning current for Solomon Islands.

He urges people not to spread rumours.
