NO TSUNAMI THREAT FOR SOLOMON ISLANDS: S.I. MET SERVICE
A ‘NO TSUNAMI THREAT’ to the Solomon Islands notice has been issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services at five minutes to five this evening.
This followed an undersea earthquake of magnitude 4.8 which occurred at 4:30 pm this evening, near 183 kilometers Southeast of Kirakira, Makira Province.
The Met Services say there is no tsunami threat to the Solomon Islands, adding that no further updates will be issued unless the situation changes.
