OPPOSITION DENIED NO-CONFIDENCE MOTION CLAIMS
The Parliamentary Opposition has denied claims that they are planning a ‘motion of no-confidence’ against the Government.
In a statement today, Leader of Opposition Jeremiah Manele says such move is too early and the Parliamentary Opposition has no intention to dismantle the Government.
Mr Manele was responding to a front page article in the Solomon Star today.
Mr Manele says the Opposition Group understands, the Government is at a critical stage of formulating the current budget and formulate Government policies and so respect this process.
The Opposition Leader says, Parliamentary Opposition is also unaware of any such moves to topple the Government.
He says, although the Government has its internal disagreements, the opposition is not planning to capitalize on that.
Meanwhile, the Opposition Leader urges the media to practice responsible and healthy journalism.
