Parliament adjourns to Monday

The National Parliament of Solomon Islands.

The Anti Corruption Bill 2017 is due for third reading next Monday.

Reading the Statement of Government Business for next week in Parliament this morning, Deputy Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare said, Parliament continues with this important bill next Monday.

He said, the Strata Tittles Bill 2017 and the Legal Profession Bill 2017 will be brought to Parliament for second reading next Tuesday.

Deputy Prime Minister Sogavare explains the statement of Government Business for the rest of next week.

“Wednesday 25th July 2018 Bills; Bill’s second reading. The Constitution Amendment Reform Bill 2018 and the Electoral Bill 2018. Motions; motion of adjournment.

“Thursday 26th July 2018, Bills; Bills Second Reading. The Whistle Blower’s Protection Bill 2016 debate commences and concludes. Bill’s committee of the whole house the Whistle blower’s Protection Bill 2016 Bill’s third Reading, the Whistle blower’s Bill 2016.”

Prime Minister Rick Houenipwela did not attend Parliament this morning because he left to join the Renbel Provincial government and people celebrate their second appointed day at the Provincial capital, Tingoa.
