PASS ON SOCIAL MESSAGES TO ADDRESS NCDs: HEALTH AUTHOIRTIES
The National Referral Hospital’s diabetic ward has called on teachers and community representatives to assist pass on social messages to address non-communicable diseases, NCDs, to their peers throughout the country.
SIBC’s stringer Gabriel Riotarau reported, Nurse-In-Charge of Hospital’s diabetic ward George Iro made the statement during a three days information display at Nguvia Secondary School in North Guadalcanal.
He reported Mr Iro as saying spreading social messages to students is important as NCD cases are increasing.
“He said this is very important, for example non-communicable diseases are currently on the rise and is a threat to our lives.”
Mr Riotarau added, the Nurse-In-Charge said educating children at an early age will enable them live a healthy life.
