PEOPLE’s FORUM FINALIZED RESOLUTIONS TODAY
The People’s forum held last Thursday has finalized its resolutions at the Korean Restaurant in Honiara today.
Speaking on behalf of the Forum Solomon Islands International (FSII), Vice-President Ishmael Nori said they are inviting all participants in last week’s forum and other interested citizens to attend the Resolution Committee’s presentation on the forum outcomes.
In a statement last week, FSII CEO Benjamin Afuga said the forum aims to bring together stakeholders and gauge their opinions about the strings of government decisions which were described as “controversial”.
He said the forum is an opportunity to listen to them and take their views for appropriate actions.
Hosted by FSII last Thursday, the people’s forum attracted many stakeholders and concern citizens.
A total of 19 stakeholders, former MPs, retired public servants and ordinary concern citizens attended the forum.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Coalition for Change Government said it fully welcomes the outcome of the public forum and is looking forward to receiving the resolutions and provide the necessary clarifications.
