PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION NEEDS PROVINCIAL PARTNERSHIPS: SAELEA
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has said the implementation of national agriculture projects will need the partnership of Provincial Governments.
The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Jimmy Saelea told local reporters during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to develop palm oil production in the Western province.
Mr. Saelea says the implementation of agriculture programs in all provincial level requires partnership from all provincial governments.
“We at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock will have to implement these projects in the provinces, not in Honiara, which means that the provincial government must get involved from the beginning which we see as very important, so having this kind of partnership in place, we are now working together to address whatever issue that needs addressing.”
