Public servants need to have a good relationship with each other both within and outside the workplace.

Permanent Secretary for Police, National Security and Correctional Services, Edmond Sikua made the statement at the closing of this year’s Inter Ministry Games in Honiara.

Mr Sikua said purpose of the Games, which the Ministry hosted this year, is for all public servants to get to know each other well.

“As Public Servants of the Solomon Islands Government we need to have a good relationship both within and outside of our jobs, so this event is not necessarily for us to come and win anything but also for us to build and establish a relationship that we can all have a good working relationship amongst us Public Servants.”

The Permanent Secretary also said establishing better relations amongst public servants is vital for a vibrant Public Service.
