Principal Magistrate Shepard Lapo says the Public Solicitor’s office is currently short of human resources.

Magistrate Lapo made this statement in Court this morning while addressing a 15 year old accused who appeared without a lawyer.

The juvenile told him that he had requested a lawyer from the Public Solicitor’s office last month, but has not been allocated one yet.

Responding to this, Magistrate Lapo says the Public Solicitor’s office is currently short of lawyers.

But he told the Lawyer on duty to take note of the case and follow through with the accused’s request.

The accused is charged with consuming liquor in public, simple larceny and robbery.

These incidents took place in 2009 and 2013.

He will appear again in Court on the 18th of this month.
