S.I.G AGREED TO FUND RETURN FLIGHTS FOR S.I. ATHLETES TO S.P.G

The Solomon Islands Government has agreed to fund three return flights for the participating athletes and officials to the Pacific Games in Port Moresby next month.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Douglas Ete announced this at a fundraiser in Honiara over the weekend.

Mr Ete says the Government will support three return air flights plus allowances for all the participants.

“I brought the Cabinet Paper last Thursday for the Government to support three return air flights Honiara Port Moresby return, number1, number two number three July. On top of that Cabinet has agreed to fund an inclusive of  US$20 per participant as perdium. And that is around 68 Kina per day for nineteen days per each athlete and official for 349 participants inPapua New Guinea.”

The South Pacific Games will begin on the 4th of July.
