‘SINU is not closing down’: University denies media reports
The Solomon Islands National University, SINU, is operating as normal despite closure reports that surfaced in the print media lately.
In a recent media statement sent to SIBC News, the university described reports circulating in the print and social media on closure plans as “totally baseless, misleading and mischievous”.
It said the university is carrying out its business as normal.
SINU said students and their families are assured that the University has no such plans and that students are encouraged to continue with their studies and preparations for upcoming final examinations.
It encouraged the print media to check their facts right by consulting the Vice-Chancellor’s office rather than speculating misleading information to the public.
