Solomon Airlines to resume service to Lomlom
Solomon Airlines confirms the reinstatement of its scheduled Dash 8 and Twin Otter services to Lomlom in the Reef Islands, effective Thursday 17 April 2025.
The airline service to Lomlom, operated by Dash 8 and Twin Otter aircraft, was temporarily suspended in March due to operational concerns related to the western extension of Lomlom Airport.
As the matter has progressed and following review of the position of stakeholders, Solomon Airlines is resuming services to reconnect communities in Temotu Province. The Thursday schedule is as follows:
- IE894: Departs Honiara (HIR) at 11:50 AM – Arrives Lomlom (LLM) at 1:45 PM • IE894: Departs Lomlom (LLM) at 2:15 PM – Arrives Honiara (HIR) at 4:10 PM • IE 394: Departs Honiara (HIR) at 10:25 AM – Arrives Santa Cruz (SCZ) at 1:05 PM • IE 394: Departs Santa Cruz (SCZ) at 1:35 PM – Arrives Lomlom (LLM) at 1:55 PM • IE 395: Departs Lomlom (LLM) at 2:10 PM – Arrives Santa Cruz (SCZ) at 2:30 PM • IE 395: Departs Santa Cruz (SCZ) at 3:00 PM – Arrives Honiara (HIR) at 5:40 PM
The reinstatement of this route improves access and flexibility for both passengers and cargo travelling to and from the Reef Islands, and also the ability to offer additional Santa Cruz capability using our Dash-8 to Lomlom whilst the Santa Cruz Airport runway works are in progress.
“Our national carrier is committed to ensuring reliable connections across all provinces.
“We’re pleased to safely resume our service to Lomlom and continue serving the people of Temotu Province,” Manager Commercial of Solomon Airlines, John Wopereis said.
