Solomon Islands Brisbane Consulate Office put on hold appointments for passport renewal

The Solomon Islands Consulate Office in Brisbane, Australia is putting a hold on passport renewal.

This is because the Passport Process Mobile Unit machine will be sent back to Honiara for printing.

The Consular General of the Solomon Islands Brisbane Consulate Office, Mr George Tuti confirmed that the Consulate Office will send passport renewal applications back to Honiara soon with the machine to be printed.

The machine arrived in Brisbane around mid-September 2023 and more than 80 applications for passport renewal were received.

The Consulate Office further advises that passport appointments will be resumed once the machine is returned to Brisbane by the end of November.

The Consulate Office will advise the public through a Press Release when the passport machine is back in Brisbane.

The Consulate Office could only process passport renewal applications when the Mobile Enrolment Unit or the Passport Process Mobile unit is in Australia. Processing and printing of passports are done in Honiara.
