Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) celebrated its 65th Anniversary
Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) celebrated its 65th Anniversary at the Unity Square in Honiara today.
The theme for the anniversary is, “Humble Journey”.
In his address, SIPA Chief Executive Officer Eranda Koteiwala says, the theme is a reflection of SIPA’s 65 years of service.
He says SIPA began its journey as a humble copra port in 1956.
Mr. Koteiwala says SIPA is the only Ports in the region that was owned by the state.
Meanwhile, a Representative from the Solomon Ports Board of Directors, Mike Wate described SIPA’s journey as an exciting one.
