A memorandum of understanding to secure the sponsorship was signed between the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) and Solrais company in Honiara yesterday.

Mr. Harlett said the level of women’s football has improved especially in the ranking.

This year’s sponsorship is approximately around $200,000 which will include cash prices and products.

Meanwhile, SIFF President Donald Marahare thanked Solrais for another big sponsorship towards women football in the country.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Solrais for another year of sponsorship. Indeed, the assistance will go a long way towards the development of women football in the country,” he said.

SIFF Chief Executive Officer Leonard Paia said Solrais has been sponsoring the League since 2022 until 2024.

“We are very pleased to have Solrais as the main sponsor for our women’s National league for the past three years since 2022. This year after some negotiation with them again, they are happy to continue the support,” he said.

The 2025 Solrais women’s premier league will kick off on the 13th of this month after the completion of the OFC Club Championship currently underway in Honiara.
