SSEC HONIARA TO ORGANISE ‘GOOD NEWS’ WEEK
The South Seas Evangelical Church (SSEC) will celebrate its annual ‘Good News Week’ this Sunday.
Secretary for the SSEC Honiara Association, Pastor Jonathan Warau told SIBC News.
He says preparations are underway for a week-long program to be held in Honiara from 2-9 October.
Pastor Warau adds, the program is important as it is their responsibility to preach the Gospel of Christ to the residents of Honiara.
“It’s a major event for the church normally celebrated in its calendar and it is very important in terms of ministering the Gospel of Christ to the residents of Honiara as it is our responsibility and it is a time we preach the Gospel in the streets of Honiara.”
Meanwhile, Mr Warau says the Deputy Prime Minister is expected to officially open the program this Sunday.
“We are inviting the Deputy Prime Minister who will officially open the Good News week which will take place at the Central Market car park area, so people will expect the Deputy Prime Minister for the official opening, followed by the presentation of God’s word by Reverend Eric Maefonea who will be the first speaker on that evening.”
Honiara residents are invited to attend as the event is open to all denominations.
