STUDENTS WANT U.P.N.G OPEN CAMPUS ESTABLISHED FIRMLY
Students at the University of Papua New Guinea’s Honiara Open Campus are appealing to both the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea Governments to strengthen the establishment and operation of the institution in Honiara.
The student body also want the PNG NATSCHOL Scholarship be fully implemented in the country as well.
It says no Diploma and Degree courses is currently being offered during the first semester this year.
The student body representative says even Lahara or summer school were offered since 2013.
It says this has affected students especially those on Government Scholarships because scholarship criteria have been very strict.
A submission was delivered to Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare to deal with this issue at the government level.
