His Excellency Andrew Jen-Chuan Kao Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, Taiwan is in Honiara to celebrate the country’s 37th Independent Anniversary.

His Excellency Kao is leading a four-member delegation to attend SIG National Day celebrations at Lawson Tama and the State Banquet held at Mendana Hotel.

Deputy Minister Kao will also call on Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and Milner Tozaka, Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade to exchange opinions on subjects of mutual concerns.

The delegation will also make inspection visits to the Honiara-based Taiwan Technical Mission and Taiwan Health Center while in Honiara.

Kao also impressed that the DCC Government has strong development ambitions, which has been translated into solid national development strategies.

He said this year will mark not only the 37th Independence Anniversary, but the beginning of an accelerated national development, in which Taiwan will not be absent.
