TANA CONGRATULATED ROKO ON 16 YEARS OF ESTABLISHMENT

The Minister for Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs Ministry, Jim Tanaganda has congratulated the West Are’are Rokotanikeni Association,
Mr Jim Tanaganda who is also the Member of Parliament for Gizo Kolombangara made the comment yesterday at the commemoration of Rokotanikeni’s 16 years celebration since their financial establishment in Honiara yesterday.
“I would like to offer on behalf of my ministry our very sincere congratulations to the West Are’are Rokotanikeni Association on your achievement particularly the growth in your savings and membership. I am really touched to note and learn of the achievement for the past 16 years that you have achieved and once again congratulations.”
Mr Tanaganda added, he is inspired to be informed that the West Are’are Rokotanikeni Association is rural based and not donor-driven, also encouraging other women’s savings club in the country to learn from Rokotanikeni Savings Club.
“I am inspired to be informed that the West Are’are Rokotanikeni Association is what we often say homegrown. It’s rural-based and was not donor-driven. And I would like to encourage those of you who have followed the same pathway, the North Vella Lavella Women;s Savings Club, my good women of Gizo Kolombangara, Marau and those that will follow the same path, you keep on with the good work that you have done.”
